Turbo (Type 911)
Modelyear 1975 - 89

The next step in the evolution of this legend was the 911 Turbo with the 3.3 liter unit. Beneath the new rear spoiler was the intercooler which ensured lower temperatures for the intake air. Hiding behind the 16" forged wheels sat the brake system from the 917 Le Mans Race Car, which introduced new technologies, such as cross-drilled brake disks and four piston calipers made from aluminum. The Turbo received a twin tailpipe exhaust. Wider wheels and tires at the rear were introduced in Modelyear 1986.
